Ehh, how about Tuesday Meme, too

Lately I have been noticing a lot of inspirational quotes and memes. Clearly that's reflective of this time in my life.

So, I thought I'd share a few that "speak" to me.

I lived with a controlling, emotionally dismissive/abusive man for 12 years. I won't put up with that shit anymore. 'Nuff said.

This goes for me, too. It touches home this morning after I acted horribly in reaction to Little Bit's EPIC tantrum. My behavior influences their reaction to me and their behavior. This goes for love of the other kind, too.

And this one? Well it's just funny (and true).

Have a good day!

  1. I just caught up on your blog. Wow, I think we married the same man (and I use that term loosely )..So happy to see you on the other end of the guilt and feeling more confident in your decision..
And once again, you have inspired to me to start my blog up again, You rock mama! :)

  2. Glad I could help! And yeah - I'm starting to realize that there are several different types of men, and our exes clearly fall into the same category. I will be a lady and refrain from coming up with a name for said category. :)

I look forward to reading your blog.

  3. I LOVE these! Oh,,, and on tantrums... I totally feel your pain. LiLM has these from time to time... and bigdaddy is so amazingly insightful (tho I am firing off the middle finger to him in my head whilst he cheers me on from the sidelines...) He 'gently' reminds me to keep my cool... which I am known to lose from time to time.. and it never goes well... I am always amazed how quickly the tantrums subside when I remain calm and collected... easier said than done I know.. but lately I am have been impressing myself... :)

  4. I will strive for that sense of calm, as well. Seriously - I instituted a "naughty jar" this week for the girls AND me. If I cuss or yell unnecessarily, and same goes for them, then we put a coin in the jar.
